We reached and overcame many obstacles during the course of building this website. One big problem was our whole team is in two different countries and it was difficult communicating with each other. The time difference between India and the U.S. is 10½ hours. Also, the best time for us in the U.S. to communicate with the members from India was when they were in school, and the best time for the Indian members to communicate with the U.S. members was when we were in school. Both Rujuta and Eeshha had exams during a critical part of building our website. Lastly, a lot of towns and cities in India still have power outages which stop them from working.
A big obstacle we had in New Hampshire was snow and ice storms. This interfered with our meetings and deadlines because of power outages and traveling safely to our meeting areas. Another major obstacle was balancing school work with Thinkquest work. We had troubles submitting all of our work on time because we all had extracurricular activities.
Some technological problems were trying to figure out how to use different types of software. It took a lot of time learning the ins and outs of the software. Before we could develop pages and add audio and visuals, we had to understand the software. Lastly, it was difficult to edit the website because only one team member could have all the folders on their computer.
All artwork on our website, unless otherwise noted, is original creation by team.
Clipart used by team members were retrieved from Microsoft clipart gallery which is available readily for licensed users of the software.
