Although the school is a mandatory-my landscapes, not
a social space (since there cannot seem to affect what happens «out of this»
not to over-value knowledge), seems to cultivate the libido demimonde, success
by any means.
However, the school may be grounds for dialogue and management of violence,
enough to bridge and not to blow-relationship «family - social environment» and
«school» (with the cultural elements in each of these bears and imposes ). The school as part of the problem or neighborhood
and vice versa, the school as a broken mirror of failed relationships, but also
the degree of integration in the wider school community, tradition, culture of
compliance with environmental rules affecting much of what happens in classrooms.
Schools take-want / do not want-the «color» neighborhood or city where they
operate. The transfer of social violence in school, perhaps the only place
where the losers can show its strength and vulnerable to resistance, should not
lead us to wrong or generic conclusions. Linking schools with violence on the
streets or in the city is not easy, first because the number of dark
criminality school is great, secondly because the opportunities are different.
However the quality of «crimes» is the same. Noting that reinforces the view
that «the same causes create the same effect».
Violence in schools involves power / coercion, deep-rooted contradiction /
contrast / conflict and lawlessness. In Greece has entered the culture of the
gun. School violence is not armed. Neither extreme violent students
are standards. Can students «break for the plate», can the image of violent
student to frighten and «terrorize», the public may custodial syndrome
(teachers and students) to turn the school in the area of confrontation but
this does not change the level and under soft collision. The ability of
teachers to manage the heterogeneity of the order and to prevent crises
associated with the feeling on the threshold of tolerable and admissibility.
Everything is a matter of limits. The antidote to violence is justice and
respect (even when necessary to impose fair penalties, but not vindictive
penalties). Restorative justice (restorative justice) where «violent» student
takes to restore the damage caused, can work if we all believe in the
mediation.
