Who hasn’t heard of Mahatma Gandhi? The frail, bespectacled man in a white dhoti who freed a nation held hostage for centuries on end. Born in a small Indian town in 1869, he graduated from his  school to eventually go to London, and a little later, to South Africa. He was pursuing a career in law, but in the end, his inner Mahatma emerged and he went on to become one of the best known figures in history, the personification of all that is good, the preacher of truth, love and non-violence, and most importantly, the savior of a nation that had lost all hope.
