Transportation is one of the most important sectors in the world since ancient times as this plays a very vital role in transporting commodities from one place to another. So a lot of importance for this sector has been given from ancient times as there had been a lot of trade between various places. And also to make their territories the best in each aspect, there were even battles for the exchange of goods. And if someone is providing you with faster services, then for sure you will prefer them to the one who is very slow and takes hell of a time to respond.
The History of Automobiles
The Wheel is believed to be invented in Mesopotamia. The idea of the wheel was derived from the use of Log rollers. The human mind came to know that massive objects could be easily moved when placed above logs. Then he started using wheels for carts made up of wood. After a period of time, man mastered the use of wheel. Man started making wagons, chariots, carts etc., without them life would become almost impossible.
During the period of industrialization in the world, man began to develop mechanical vehicles for mainly agricultural purposes and industrial purposes. These lead to the development of hydrocarbon fueled vehicles.
The first vehicle with an engine used the steam energy. We all know that James Watt's revolutionary pressurized steam engine train changed the world at that time. It proved to be far better than Thomas Newcomen's stream engine. The initial steam powered engines were so heavy that they could be only run on a flat iron surface.
Then man thought of even more better fuel. Initially gunpowder was tried but it wasn't a big success. A Frenchman by name Etienne Lenoir made the first gas engine but it was heavy. So there could be better alternatives. Gottllieb Daimler constructed a wooden motorcycle. Later, Karl Benz made a tubular framed tricycle. Henry Ford made an Engine in 1893. Then in 1896, he made the first car.
From that day onwards there had been a lot of progress in the ways of transporting people. As from the days of industrialization, man realized that the fast the service, the more the earning and the more the income. The more the income the more development. The more the development the more ways of showing himself or herself superior to others. So a lot of importance is being to this sector.
So as the wheel of time passes there had been vehicles which are developed for the speed.
If one country discovers/invents something good then the other sets (of people) are trying to develop better than that. As a result there are vehicles which can go at a speed of 420kmph. These are a lot faster than the past compared carts. All this had been because man wants to show him or her better than others.
As years pass, there will surely be a day when cars could be found flying all around. Man always try to advance, man never gives up and this attitude shows that he is deliberate to show himself superior than others man meets challenges with courage and will in the same process.
We know that fossil fuels on this earth are going to be exhausted. Man as one challenge ahead of him. Man needs to find alternative fuels for automobiles. For this man has already started researching on and implementation of usage of Solar and Hydrogen fueled cars. It is better to use Hydrogen fueled cars because they are eco-friendly and release no pollutants. Hydrogen just releases water on burning. Solar powered vehicle can be expensive and can't be afforded by all.
Well, as we see in movies, in the future there'll be cars flying all around and cars moving with supersonic velocities on stationery magnetic paths will be visible. In the future there are hopes of automatic navigation i.e. the vehicle will control itself and take us to our desired place.
