Education
Without knowing what a bolt or a machine is no body would be able to operate a system or manage an industry. For a person to be in the top position the most important thing for him is to be financially secured. For being so the most important thing is to know is the basics for anything. Without learning an alphabet no body can learn spelling and cannot speak a language properly. Without the required knowledge no body can achieve anything. For achieving knowledge one needs to learn. Education is a teaching-learning process.
Since the saga of industrialization the literacy rate of all countries is increasing. The time of industrialization gave a new look for the world. Industrialists need a lot of knowledge over the things so that they can run their industries smoothly and they need to have panorama over wide spread of concepts. As a result of this the system of teaching-learning gained importance. Since then there had been a lot of developments in the field of education.
In the ancient times, education was accessible to only few people. And in those days learning-teaching process used to take place in holy places like Temples, Churches (Convents), Mosques etc. At that time, the most important subject which was taught was just religion. All people were taught prayers, rituals etc. Subjects like Science, Mathematics were taught to very few people. As a result the actual education was given only very few people so the literacy rate at that time was very less and also the competition between men and men at that point of time is quite less as it is now. Education did not gain importance in the past times as it gained at present if we look with the global view.
From that age onwards to the present, all the changes are due to new ideas and thoughts which came to the human mind. Earlier people blindly believed in all the established principles but later thoughts became scientific and he started questioning all the established principles and started thinking what could have been the reason for each and every thing. With this, a new saga in the world began and all started questioning the principles of their respective religions and philosophies. With the industrialization the race to be superior increased like anything and is still continuing at that intensity but it is increasing a lot.
With the beginning of industrialization, the need to learn and learn became so intense that one could only achieve something if he/she was educated and this raised the curtain to the saga of innovations to the world. For this also some basic knowledge was required.
So as a result of this, education has become a key concern for the world. And many countries began focusing on it a lot.
As a consequence, the literacy rate of all countries is increasing with a rapid pace. Most of the nation’s literacy rate increased a lot as you can see in the graph besides. This has taken place because all the countries' administrators realized that people who were also a resource could become actual resource if they were educated so that it will lead to human capital formation. And in future man will realize that the greed to show superiority is too intense and all will become violent and aggressive which may lead to disastrous consequences. But then education can be used as a ceasefire, at the same time race in the field of technology, health facilities etc. But not in wars...terrorism etc. So literacy rate of the world in future will be 100%.
