“Mr. Watson, come here. I want to see you” were the exact first words spoken on a telephone. Alexander Graham Bell said this because he spilled some chemicals on his clothes and he needed Mr. Watson to help him clean it up.
The telephone changes voices into electrical signals. Then they go through wires, and then changed back into the person’s voice. All telephones have a ringer, a speaker, a key pad, and a switch. Cordless phones send radio waves instead of their voice changing into electrical signals. Cell phones are not connected to telephone lines.
