This is a wireless phone that does things way beyond its predecessors. It is the smart phone. It can surf the web, and email from anywhere in the world. (If you still have bars) the first smart phone ever made was called Simon and was created by IBM in 1992. It was sold to the public in 1993 by Bell South. Being the most complex phone built to date, it provided a calendar, address book, world clock, calculator, note pad, games, email, and send and receive a fax. There was no buttons to dial up our world with. In place of that was a touch screen that buyers used to select phone numbers. You could also get a stylist to write memos and notes. If you did not have a stylist, you could use the screen.
