Bluetooth Technology
Bluetooth is wireless technology for exchanging data over short distances from divices including:

Mobile Phone Requirements
A mobile phone that is Bluetooth compatible is able to pair with many devices including:
• Bluetooth Headsets
• In- car devices
• Computer dongles (computer adapter with a funny name)
This service recommends two classes, basic and advanced, with requirements that cover imaging, printing, stereo, audio and in-car usage.

Bluetooth Versions 1.0/1.0B
Versions 1.0 and 1.0B had many problems, and manufacturers had difficulty making their products worth buying.

Version 1.1
Version 1.1 is basically versions 1.0 and 1.0b with a few upgrades including:
• Programmed with protocol IEEE Standard 802.15.1-2002
• Many Errors found in 1.0B were fixed
• Added support for non-secure channels
• Received signal strength indicator

Version 2.0
This is the most recent stable version of Bluetooth technology. The main difference between this and version 1.1 is enhanced dated rate.

GPS Enabled Phones
Similar to In-Car GPS devices, GPS enabled cell phones let you view and listen to turn by turn directions via your phone.
