The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum opened in Clevelend, Ohio, by Lake Erie. Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame Foundation was formed to build the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. Severel cities wanted to have the Museum but Clevelend won a contest. 600,000 people voted to have the Hall of Fame in Clevelend wanted the Museum to be placed in Clevelend. Alan Freed was also born in Clevelend. Alan Freed was a D.J. who first used the phrase "Rock N' Roll". It opened it's doors in 1995 and has had over 7-million vistitors.
