Leather is a material which is created through tanning of raw hides (skin). The tanning process converts the putrescible skin into a durable, long-lasting and versatile natural material for various uses. Due to its excellent resistance to abrasion and wind, leather has found a use in rugged occupations. Some of the leather goods are wallets, belts, shoes, bags and furnitures.
