Lighthouse of Alexandria
Ptolemy built the Lighthouse of Alexandria, which are considered among the seven
wonders of the world, to the enormous height of about 135 meters, which was seen
as light fifty kilometres to guide ships coming to Alexandria. This lighthouse
has remained in existence until the great earthquake destroyed the year 1307.
Ptolemy also left many monuments such as Temple of Dandara in Qena and
fiala in Aswan which has been saved by UNSCO.
