Kawasaki is a disease that is common among the children under the age of five that involves skin , mouth and lymph nodes. if the symptoms are recognised at an early stage , it can be easily cured.Untreated, it can lead to serious complications that can affect the heart.However , the exact cause of the disease is unknown.


Signs and Symptoms

  • a persistent fever higher than 104° Fahrenheit

  • severe redness in the eyes

  • a rash on the stomach, chest, and genitals

  • red, dry, cracked lips

  • swollen tongue with a white coating and big red bumps
  • sore, irritated throat swollen palms of the hands and soles of the feet with a purple-red color andswollen lymph nodes

No single test can detect Kawasaki disease, so doctors usually diagnose it by evaluating the symptoms . donctors can cure this disease only if the symptoms are indentified at a early stage. If Kawasaki disease is not treated within 10 days of the onset of symptoms, heart problems usually do develop. Fatal diseases such as vasculitis and Arrhythmias cause inflammation of blood vessels and affect the blood supply to the heart.
