Drugs and Teens

Drugs deter the teen's education, causing a lot of problems. Teens using drugs bring them into the schools and the distribution spreads to other teens. Cocaine is easily available at a lot of area schools. It is not very difficult to find a person selling cocaine, on campus. Addicted teens drop out of school, lowering academic standards and graduation rates. Drug problems are not just in the high schools. They are also in the middle schools and colleges. Why the colleges? "Once students get into college, they think it's just a big party, now that they are on their own at school".(5) Students focusing on partying because they are away from parental control, place themselves in danger; the same dangers with addiction, bad behavior and dropping out faced by teenagers.
