A celebrity is a "widely-recognized person who commands a high degree of public or media attention" (People Magazine). Why are they so important when it comes to physical appearance? Many people judge celebrities by the way they look; others judge them by the way they act. But in reality, most people just care about how they look and do not realize the wrong things that they do or say. Society focuses on their looks, how rich they are, and whether they are attractive enough for the public or not. People should realize and think about what these beautiful celebrities do and ask themselves if these are the kinds of people one should look up to.

George W. Bush, Paris Hilton and Brittany Spears are examples of celebrities that have messed up in some way: but after all is said and done, we continue to admire and feel sorry for them. What's even more disappointing, people only feel this forgiving towards celebrities and famous people. If these celebrities were people like us, there would not be any special considerations. People should really question if they really want themselves, their children, and society in general to continue to admire celebrities.
People should not judge celebrities based on their looks or wealth. Beauty should be irrelevant when criminal activity, drug use, malicious conduct, and poor decisions come with the individuals admired.
