China: The Next Superpower?

Will China be the superpower of the 21st century? The average teenager in the U.S needs to consider that by the time we are college educated adults looking for employment, we might not be employable unless we speak Chinese and/or can work for a corporation in China or one controlled by China. From 2000 to 2005, China's population increased by 48.8 million. China's education is more advanced than the education in the United States, and the economy in China is booming due to minimal government restrictions and very low wages for manual labor. The Chinese consume 4.78 million gallons of petroleum per day, and there are no deterrents to carbon dioxide emissions that contribute to global warming.
