Around this time there were few Christian occurrences, but some are the building of the Dome of the Rock, the occurrence of the Carolingian Renaissance, many Cathedrals were founded and built, and the Hagia Sophia was built.
The Dome of the Rock is located in Jerusalem, one of Jesus' chosen cities. The Dome of the Rock is built over the rock believed by Jews to be the rock where Abraham prepared to sacrifice his only son Isaac to God.
The Carolingian Renaissance was a time period where learning became a very important focus of the people of the time. Most of the focus was on monasteries, which at this time were isolated from the Roman Catholic Church.
Cathedrals were churches for people in medieval times to help them earn their place in heaven. Some of the cathedrals that were built were the Cologne Cathedral in Germany, the Wells Cathedral located in England, the Cathedral of Magdeburg in Turkey, and the Mainz Cathedral in Germany.
The Hagia Sophia was also built, at this time it was a church, now it is a museum. The Hagia Sophia started out as an Ottoman mosque, then became a Byzantine church, and now is a museum.
