Opinions from parents

We also asked some parents about their points of view of being healthy and slim.

Opinions from Mrs. Ng:
I think healthy doesn't equal to slim because I have a cousin who is very very thin. Because of being thin, she doesn't have much energy to do things, such as running, swimming etc. I think a healthy person should  be very energetic. I don't think a person should be going on diet if  he or she wants to be slim, as long as he or she is healthy and energetic.

Opinions from Mr. Ng
:

Personally, I think healthy equals to happiness, because my mother is very old now, but she keeps smiling everyday. She tries to keep herself laughing all the time. She says laughing makes one healthy. So I really took her advice and smiled everyday. Really, smiling makes me healthy. When I laugh, I only think of happiness. All the sadness drew out from me. I no longer cry or feel sad anymore. Later on, I had interest in many things, such as doing exercise. That's why I think happiness equals to healthy.

Opinions from Mrs. Lam
:

If you want to be healthy, first of all, you must eat vegetables and fruits, because they are full of dietary fibres, which make your intestines healthy . Also, you need to drink at least 8 cups of water a day, so the water can "wash" all the poison out of your body. About slimming, I think slimming might make you sick. Once, I had a relative who wanted to be slim because her boyfriend said she's just too fat . So she started to go on diet.  Everyday, she ate very little and she exercised at least 3 hours per day. One day, she fainted. The doctor said she fainted because she's lack of sugar, fat and food. That's why I think slimming might cause sickness.
