Creative or Misleading
Advertisements are sometimes sarcastic and affect our way of thinking, so we
chose this topic to understand and learn more about
different
advertisements that we watch in daily life, but most of all we found it
very interesting to do this topic as we can understand the ads in two
ways(Creative and Misleading).
Our intended
audience is mainly youngsters and middle-aged citizens in
Hong Kong as
most of the ads are both creative and misleading. Through this project,
we hope they can learn from the creative parts of the ads and the wrong
way of doing it misleadingly.
The three ads we have chosen to demonstrate on how to think of ads are from
the companies Samsung, Yakult and Rejoice.
SAMSUNG F480 TOUCH-WIZ HANDSET: This ad is very creative because they used
the way of putting in the competitions in Olympics to sell their
product,as people are very familiar with it. At the same time, this ad
misled us by showing that touching a button on the phone will take us
to the competition in the Olympics. It may easily mislead innocent,
young children or middle-aged people who aren't wise enough to judge.
YAKULT: This ad is quite hilarious because it shows the contrast of the
handsome schoolboy and the ugly one. But unfortunately, this ad will
totally mislead children as they don't have the sense to judge clearly.
Drinking yakult doesn't mean that it'll keep you pretty, so we must be
smart customers and buy what is needed instead caring for our
appearance instead of health.
REJOICE: This ad is quite creative because it used a humorous way to
sell the product. However, this ad exaggerated and misled the
buyers as it showed that using rejoice will make your hair as smooth as
silk, so it can easily mislead the customers.
