Children are playing in the school

It is a collection of traditional games shared and played avidly in the huge backyards when the mothers chit-chatted with their friends, under shady trees during hot summers, on the slushy lanes when the schools were closed and school grounds after the classes got over .It will help relive one’s childhood days, for those who belong to a generation just past .They will evoke special moments of sounds, sights and sweat which were part of these games.

There was searching, analyzing, laughing, bundled with physical activity.

Where are the backyards gone? Why have school grounds shrunk? Where are all the flocks of innocent children? Why is there so much silence in high rise buildings in which families with children live? Don’t children play now? They do play. But with a difference. They play with gadgets-e games. They dominate the game scene in towns and cities now, sparing a few villages! Where are the claps? Where are the hops? Faded?
