Since technology of our generation is so advanced, a unique kind of writing language-- ICQ and SMS language is made up by tons of people?for convenience when inputing words. But the problem with this language is that people, especially students, are hooked onto the language and eventually used to it.

On one hand, the use of ICQ and?SMS language brings convenience to the users as it is less time consuming. On the other hand, as people are so used to this type of language, they use this language in their daily lives, which with no doubt hinders people's language skills.

It may just be the talk of people who are afraid of change but it's also important to be able to balance proper English and SMS and ICQ language. It's best to know which form to use depending on the situation, definitely, basic education on when to use it, starts at home.
