Computer Games - from entertainment to addiction

- Discussion

From the survey that we did, we found that some people play computer games while others don't, and all of them reguard computer games are just entertainments and are not addicted to it.dicussion

Different family backgrounds might be a possible reason why some play and some don't play computer games. The ones who play might have a computer in their own room where they can
play whenever they wanted to, while those who don't play might not have a computer and don't use the computer very often because of strict parents. However, all of them who play computer games are not addicted. Perhaps they are disiplined enough and are well educated that some games might harm our brains.

From what we had consulted in most of the websites, 5 out of 4 children are addicted to computer games. But from the survey that we did, we can see that not many of our classmates are
computer games addicts, they just happen to only play computer games once in a while for entertainment. The reason that our research is so different from that in the Internet, might be because we live in a different country which teaches us differently and that our parents are very good ones that they will prevent us from playing too much computer games no matter if we will hate them for it, they are just doing the right thing. From the Internet, we found that a mother let her 6 children skip school just to play computer games and bought everything they wanted to them, just because she was afraid they will be angry at her. These mothers who spoils their children are very wrong.
