Naturopathy
Naturopathic medicine (also known as naturopathy or natural medicine) is an alternative medicine which emphasizes the body's ability to heal and maintain itself.
Naturopaths prefer to use natural remedies such as medicinal herbs and foods rather than surgery or synthetic drugs. Naturopathy deals with the healing power of nature since it believes that all healing powers are within our body.

History:
In the USA, the term naturopathy was coined before 1900 by John Scheel, and used by Benedict Lust.
Causes of illness-believed by naturopaths:
Naturopaths believe that illness is caused by bad living habits like eating the wrong foods, too much stress and not having enough exercise. As a result of all these, waste materials and bodily refuse build up and poison the system. The therapy is to throw off these toxic accumulations by adapting to a healthier living including a good diet, manipulation and psychological counseling.
