After we had studied banking, we became interested in currency.  At first it was just coins, but then the bank notes (dollars) were colorful and pretty, too.  When we looked into the law about printing copies of paper money, it said we had to show them in black and white.  Our team member in England found the same thing about her currency.  Countries do this because counterfeiting is a problem for them.  To avoid any problems, we decided to focus on coins.
We pooled our resources and found out that we didn't have a lot of different coins between us.  In order to make our virtual collection, we sent a request to the school parents and they sent in the foreign coins they had so that we could group them and take pictures.  There were many that were the same, but we were lucky enough to find lots that weren't.  Coins are awesome!
