Team Strings 09 visited Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra at Guwahati to learn and understand the Art of traditional puppetry of Assam INDIA. We interacted with the puppeteers at different times to get a first hand experience and some basic ideas of preparation of the string puppets and how they are manipulated..
The puppeteers also demonstrated some simple techniques. The Team 'Strings 09' also interviewed some of the puppeteers.
The Italian team also created some short presentations as classroom projects. The video displays wonderful involvement of the children and their coach in making the videos.
We also uploaded a the video of the activity conducted in our school in INDIA. We also could retrieve a sweet video of Rajasthani puppetry from Ramoji Film City Hyderabad where a student contributed a video from his travelogue. We thank Master Jubhajit Deb of Class 6 for the video.
We also performed a String Puppet show in our school for the primary students.
We also organised a glove puppet show.
