THIS IS OUR TEAM
Our team started to work on this website since September 2008, when Mrs Palazzo talked with us about Thinkquest and the idea to create a project on the English language. The title" In EngIish, please" was chosen by Irene because English is the language every student should speak in class. Students were so happy to start working on Thinkquest and on this project. We thought that Indian students could help us to improve this language so we invited them to join our project. Some of Italian and Indian students started working for a little time and then left the project . Irene was the student who coordinated all the work of the team members, including the invitations of the new students.With some early difficulties we could organize a close - knit group. Irene designed the buttons,created the mind maps and some dialogues. Alessia dubbed all the dialogues and draw some pictures. Quizzes and other items were made by the Indian studentsJubhajit and Neha. Ms Zeenat guided her students utilizing her spare time in the creation of this website. Mr Deb helped all the team in suggesting the artistic part checking all the work created by the Italian and Indian students. The team used to collaborate through ThinkQuest.We think that this website is the fruit of a hard work made by all the team members.

Hello! I had a lot of fun working on this website, but also it has been hard because I was the coordinator of the group team and I had some tasks to get. I designed the website and some drawings as the children on the homepage, I created the mind maps and a lot of dialogues, but we chose only a few of them , I did a research about some strange facts on English words and I used the learning strategies that Mrs Palazzo taught us to study easily. Hope this site could help children who are just starting to learn English. Maybe it is only a bit, but I hope it will be useful. |

I'm Alessia. I'm 12 years old and I'm an Italian student. I live in Palombara Sabina, a country near Rome. I love music, swimming and dancing, but I love also horses, dogs, cats and all the animals... I was so enthusiastic to work on this project, because I like working on my computer. What I liked to do is creating videos using Audacity programme, in fact I dubbed some of my videos in this site. This is a work that Mrs Palazzo usually gives us as homework, just to invent some dialogues we study at school to learn English.I enjoyed working with Indian students, they helped us to improve our English. We communicated through ThinkQuest messages. It has been cool! |

Hello!!!! I joined this project a bit later, so I worked helping Irene and Alessia in creating the videos and the grammar mind maps. I am not in the same class as Irene and Alessia are, but we met at home after our school activities to organize the work.It has been a unique experience for me!What I liked most in this project has been working with students from India of my same age. |

Ciao to all the "Englisher" members. I am Ornella Palazzo, English teacher in the Secondary school of first Grade in Palombara Sabina.I have been always attracted by the sweet words sound of other languages since I was 9 years old when I started to learn French and a bit of Spanish. But my favourite language has been ENGLISH.I started talking in English through the Beatles songs and all the 70s singers. So my interest in languages has grown with my age.But I have also other interests, such as the love for the nature, flowers, plants, animals and all the living creatures on this earth. I believe in a better world and I try to do all the best for it. |
