Multiplication of 2 two digit numbers below 100
Let the two numbers be 98 and 97.
98 x 97 = 9506
Easy Method:
The first number 98 is 2 less than 100 and second number 97 is 3 less than 100. So, subtract 3 from first number 98. 98 - 3 = 95
This 9 and 5 will be the first two digits of the result.
For finding the last two digits, find the product of 2 and 3, which is 6. Since there is only one digit 6, we should add 0 in the tenth place. So, 0 and 6 will be the last two digits of the result.
The result of the problem 98 x 97 using easy method is 9506.
