*In the sauna you got sweat on you by sitting on a bench (in Finland it is called ``laude``) and throwing water on the stones on top of the fireplace , which formed to hot steam that raised the temperature in the sauna. After a short period in the sauna you cooled yourselves for a moment and then you washed yourselves. Nowadays it is usual that you have a separate room for dressing and for washing ( originally you got sweat on you, washed and dressed yourself in one big room!)
