This photograph illustrates the uninterrupted perpetuation of Hawaiian culture in younger generations.  This young boy of Hawaiian ancestry recognizes this Hawaiian Ki’i (Tiki) as part of his Hawaiian culture and is seen trying to replicate it.  The Ki’i that day was put there to keep away the rain from the ocean.  The rain was kept at bay for the majority of the day, until it was removed; the rain came back after that.
