OUR TEAM
My name Lauren and I'm in the fifth grade at Lincoln Avenue Academy. I have a younger eight-year-old brother named Everett and a one-year-old [in people years] dog named Bella. I have a two story house with a big back and front yard that is perfect for playing with Bella. My afterschool activities include volley ball, tumbling, and singing lessons. At the end of the third grade I was diagnosed with a condition called diabetes. When someone has diabetes they don't have enough insulin and as a result their blood glucose raises. I'm doing a lot better now because I have the pump. Besides doing ThinkQuest, my team is also helping out a girl in our school who has diabetes who can not afford the pump and really wants one. We are doing a fundraiser to raise money for her.On this team I wrote all interview questions and did interviews, wrote the systems pages and illustrated the site. Also, I did lots of spellchecking  and editing.

My name is Kayla. I am on the Physical Disabilities team for ThinkQuest and I had a great time with my team! In my free time I enjoy playing with my pets. I have one puppy named Scamp. He is a mutt; he is part Beagle and part Lab. I also love my pet bird Marla, she is very pretty! Other than my pets , I enjoy swimming in my pool, playing piano, and playing basketball! I have really enjoyed this year in ThinkQuest and can't wait for next year.  I was a researcher, writer, editor and helped with design.

My name is Megan I was born in Florida I'm currently in the fifth grade.I have one sister that is older than me in the 7th grade. I have a dog and a cat; I love to play with both of them in my free time. Also I love gymnastics and I am in level 6!.
I love Thinkquest, but it is very hard to keep up with. I have learned a lot in Thinkquest and learned a lot in the topic I am. I was the main designer for the site and made the template, buttons and flash animation. I also installed all the quizzes.
My name is Morgan.  I am in grade 4 and have SMA. Julia and I were very good friends when she asked me to join this project. I think this project is important because it helps educate people about physical disabilities.  I enjoy playing with my friends, going to school and do all the regular things kids my age enjoy.
I am Julia, I am 9 years old, have lived my whole life in  Florida and I am  in grade 4. enjoy soccer, playing piano and drawing. Since I have a little sister and 2 little brothers that I play with my house is always busy.
I enjoy making games and summarizing things for the think quest site and I think I can handle more stress than before I joined.  My main role on the team was research, writing and  making quizzes.

My name is Axita I'm 10 years old and was born in Alabama on September 12, 2007.I am in 4th grade. I have an older brother and enjoy school. In the Thinkquest team I did research and quizzes. I also organized the credits. I learned a lot. This topic was important to me because I had some experience with not being able to use a body part.I needed surgery and the procedure was to cut a slit in the tendon so my thumbs wouldn't pop.I had to write  only the tips of my fingers,my mom had to come every day to school and feed me and I couldn't get my hands wet so I had to use wet wipes with me to clean my hands with. Also I needed physical therapy for a month after my cast was taken off. So, it was really important to me to be on this team.

I am Mrs. Lockard and am originally from Croatia. I am an elementary school technology integration teacher and have been involved in Thinkquest for over a decade. I enjoy seeing kids engaged in real life problem solving and collaboration. This team was very special as they took their topic to the heart - it was meaningful to them and they have truly become community advocates.
I am Mrs. Campbell and have been involved with Thinkquest for a few years. My role was to encourage students, answer their questions  and help them drive around to  interview places. I enjoyed seeing them truly interested in learning and becoming proficient in so many technologies.
