The Truth About Water
Be an expert on a wonderful liquid - water!
Do you know the steps of the water cycle? How important is this
substance? Just how much water is on the Earth? Read on to learn about
the water around you!

Water is everywhere around us. Water covers 3/4 of the earth, and
97% of that water is saltwater. The majority of our freshwater is snow,
glaciers, and ice, leaving 1% for us humans. When our planet was forming
4.6 billion years ago, water didn't exist, since the planet was so scorching and warm. Scientists believe that when the planet cooled enough for vapor to change into water molecules, it might have rained for hundreds of years!
So far, water exists only on earth.
Up until now, Asia has the greatest availability of freshwater and Austrailia has the lowest availability. Some regions of the world where the future of water is the most troublesome are the West Bank, India, and China. Water is continually recycled, a process called the water cycle.  page 2
