Food: Somalians have a special dish, named the ‘Somali Crabmeat Stew’. As Muslims, they are forbidden to eat pork and lard, nor are they allowed to drink alcohol.

Sport: Somalian Sport is mainly the same as our own in England. Sports such as Track and field, football, basketball, volleyball, handball, table tennis and lawn tennis.

Clothes/dress: Mostly, the Somalians wear western dress; however, several areas prevail with traditional clothes and dresses. An example of these more ‘traditional’ clothes is the guntiino which is similar to an Indian sari. Typical clothes include full-length dresses and head-scarves for the women,

Music: Traditional Somalian music has recently included rock, bossa nova, hip hop, and jazz, influences.
