I’m Dakota (Ember in September) and I attend Todd County High School where I will be a junior. This is my second year at MSIP. I applied because I was told it would an awesome experience and I would receive college credits my final year at MSIP to help start off my college career. I plan on attending the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor and getting my PharmD and MBA degrees. I have enjoyed MSIP so far and plan on attending all four years. MSIP is an awesome experience that everyone should try to enjoy because you can never get another kind of experience like this. MSIP really sets you apart and makes you stand out in applications. I really think that MSIP set me apart on my National Honor Society app. I also used my skills achieved at MSIP to become the secretary of NHS. Right now my current goals are to have the class of 2009 receive full tuition scholarships, graduate as South Dakota Regent Scholars and go on to a post secondary education. I hope to achieve these goals because I know that the class of 2009 is the ultimate best! Oh yeah!

Hi my name is Kaska. I attend school at Timberlake High School. I was introduced to the Math and Science Initiative Program (M.S.I.P.) my eighth grade year when my good friend was telling me about it. She told me it would be a good experience. During my freshman year I got accepted into the program and this is my second year. I plan on attending The University of South Dakota to get my nursing degree. I think that this program helped me improve my grades, become more self confident, and made me more responsible. I have met friends that will be with for life here and I would recommend this to all students. M.S.I.P. has helped me prepare for college in many ways. For example is they show me what it is going to be like living with a roommate, they show that the classes aren't always going to be close and easy to get to, and they show me most of all respect.

Hi my name is Mariah. I attend Cheyenne Eagle Butte High School. I will be sophomore next year. I was introduced to M.S.I.P. when my older brother told me about how it can help me in my school work, and would be a great experience for me. This is my first year here at M.S.I.P.; so far it is pretty fun. What I like about M.S.I.P. is you can make friends that will last for a long time. Also what I like about the friend part is making new friends from different schools, knowing u have friends from different schools, rather than your own makes you feel good. It makes you feel good because if you go to there hometown and see them you can hug them because you already know them! When you are here, the program keeps you busy and you are never bored! A good example is they have a lot of sport equipments so you can have fun with your new friends with the sport you like to play. I think that this program can help you to be more confident in yourself, and teach you how to be more responsible. This program also helps you to experience how a college student lives and studies. How it does feel what an actually college student goes through. The program is such a great program because you learn a lot and take a lot from it too. M.S.I.P. also gives the chance to take the prep or actually ACT tests.
