Group Reflections

Yung:

I learnt a lot from this year's Thinkquest project, especially the skills in using computer programs, for example, how to use Dreamweaver, how to edit a picture in Photo Impact, how to upload different kinds of things on the Internet, etc.
Moreover, I learnt how to design a survey which can help me find an answer for the project. In fact, our survey results didn't give us a clear concept on what the students preferred, therefore, we felt a little lost. But afterwards, we found out that we could still draw an exceptional conclusion to this. I'm sure I will be able to cope with these problems in other projects also.

Eveline:

It has been a fun and memorable experience working with my classmates on the Thinkquest project. I learnt to use Dreamweaver to create webpages. We have learnt to cooperate well together and now we are a good team.

Wan:

This has been a great opportunity for us to learn. I learnt a lot of computer skills, for example using Dream Weaver to create a website and finding relevant information on the Internet. Apart from computer skills, I learnt how to design a good questionnaire. From this project, I understood that the necessity of going to tutorial schools or having private tutors all depends on the need of the student. Last but not least, I learnt how to cooperate well with others.

Shelley:

After this project, I learnt the correct way to set up a questionnaire and also different methods of interviewing students of various ages. I have also comprehended the way to organize all of our information and put them together in charts.

This project also helps with my studies. Now that I know the pros and cons of going to private tutors and tutorial schools, I am able to choose correctly for myself. I understand that some students employ private tutors not just because they think it is useful, but because they think it is a trend. Moreover, I think employing private tutors will make students lose the opportunity to learn self-studying.

To conclude, through this project, not only have I learnt the way to work well as a group, but also to do interviews and the pros and cons of going to tutorial schools and private tutors.

Rosaline:

I enjoyed working in this project very much. I have gained and learned a lot from this project, including how to create and conduct surveys. I wish to work together again in the near future.
