Causes of global warming

Global warming started long before humans added on to it. It mainly started after the end of the last ice age, about 8,000 years ago, levels of carbon dioxide mysteriously started rising at a time when they should have been dropping. The same happened to the methane levels from about 5,000 years ago.

As you can tell global started early but we have been adding on to it also for the past 8,000 to 5,000 years. By that time we humans put enough greenhouse gases into the atmosphere to increase the global temperature up to 1.4 Fahrenheit.

Human causes

• Burning fossil fuels
• Burning fossil fuels made of organic
• Manure
• The trees that convert our CO2 into oxygen are being demolished
• We are not replacing trees ( important part of our ecosystem)
• Taking Advantage of our nature resources
• Over population
• Pollution
• Burning of coal and oil

Nature Cause

• Climate Change
• The release of methane gas from artic

Those are the main causes of global warming an it is not too late to change!!!!

What is the Effect?

Plains

If the Heating of the earth continues more fires will happen. Since the sun will have added additional heat than it already has.

Polar

Since the earth is heating up the polar ice caps are melting. If it keeps melting the sea level might rise between 16-20 feet (It would cover most of Florida).

Coastal

Their will be extra rain that will cause more floods. Many animals would be left with out a home. It would decrease the population of the animals that lost their home.

Forest

The forest would dry up and become part of the desserts. There would be increase in thunderstorms and forest fires.

Deserts

The heat would increase. It might even become to hot for some plants to survive. The water supplies that are there would be gone fast after each rain storm. The desserts would be more difficult to cross and to survive in.
