Our Research

We conducted our research through various methods. Firstly, due to the fact that we did not have a good enough background knowledge on the subject, we decided to do a literature review to gain some information on the subject. We have presented it in the Globalisation section.

Since our aim was to find out the public's opinion on whether globalisation was good or bad, so we decided to do a survey to find out their opinion. We have conducted it over a duration of 2 months, from the end of January to the start of March, on a paid SurveyMonkey subscription. It was conducted online through the SurveyMonkey survey tool, and results were collected from their database at the start of March.

There are 53 local Singaporean respondents and 25 overseas respondents in total. 11 questions were also formulated, although not all respondents answered all questions.

We have decided not to conduct interviews with people, as we figured that there was no point in that. Our aim was to find out if the public feels if globalisation was good or bad, and interviews would not really help us in achieving this aim.

Finally, we collated all our results and formulated a conclusion, and put up our research on this website.
