killings are child's play for the RUF! over the times of their reign they killed millions of people! The RUF doesnt hesitate to kill people,They kill them irrespective of their age and sex! The RUF has special units to completely "clean" areas they try to conquer! Their modus operandi is to select a strategic place and go on a killing spree to clear that place.Some survivors are then forced to work in the diamond mines.

AMPUTATIONS
Amputations are the signature tactic used by the RUF.They tie innocent civilians and then chop off their legs,hands and many times lips,ears,tongues by machetes and axes! When one will visit relief camps such as the TASSIN CAMP,FORECARIAH, in Guinea,sights of handless young youths as well as old men and women are common.One may also see infants with no hands.Sights of people with chopped off lips,ears and tongues are horrible as well as heart wrenching!!

CHILD SOLDIERS
The RUF forcibly takes survivor children with them and imparts military training to them.Some of the child soldiers are changed forever-MENTALLY as well as PHYSICALLY!
What the RUF does is that they keep an open eye for children in the raids they start,once spotted,they bring the child to their head quarters and beat them a lot.After that they are taught how to use a gun,and they are blindfolded and asked to shoot on a target.The target is always a living human!!!!
After that they are completely brainwashed and induced with marijuanna,cocaine and other drugs.By the end of a week,the child soldier is ready!

SOCIO-ECONOMIC STAGNATION AS WELL AS DEGRADATION
Because of the RUF,the government has to spend a lot of money on providing safety to the people and fighting against them.As a result the money is being diverted to these causes and other important issues remain unattended to.So what happens? The country not only faces stagnation in socio-economic areas,but also gradually starts deteriorating in these realms and soon the whole system is ruined!!
