We found out that memory techniques are very useful. These memory techniques can be used by anyone, as long as they have practiced enough, have faith and belief that the memory technique will work and also know exactly how these memory techniques work.
Therefore, these techniques can also be used by students, which would help them in their work and also in their every day life. As education is important to students, helping them more effectively study would allow them to free up more time to deal with their homework, projects, tests and CCAs.
Also, as teachers often say, students forget at least some of the information and concepts that they have learnt that day, which is why teachers often advise students to revise to make sure that they remember what they learnt. With the introduction of effective memory techniques, students would no longer need to spend time revising. Also, they would have a strong foundation as they would no longer forget what they have learnt a long time, like 6 years ago.
We also found out that most students in the Asian region do not know about the existence of such techniques which can help them. This is also true in Singapore. However, as the learning of such techniques and being able to effectively use them is hard and seem like a lot of work, students would be discouraged from learning such techniques even if they knew about such techniques.
Also, there are some who try hard, but somehow just cannot get the hang of it. We found out that if that happens, practicing more, having total belief that the technique will work and knowing how the techniques work is all that would let you use the techniques well.
Furthermore, we found out that there is not one memory technique that is applicable to all forms of memorization and is the best, at least not yet. However, on the other hand, we learnt that the phonetics memory technique is applicable to all number facts, breaking up the word to learn complex words …
Overall, all the memory techniques that we learnt of stem from association and linking. It might be possible that there would be one memory technique that is possible to memorize all forms of facts, as memory feats and achievements are being broken faster than other records, meaning that memorizing is becoming harder and longer, which would lead to the formation and creation of better memory techniques and eventually lead to the one memory technique that is the best.
