When you think of electronics, the first thing that pops into your mind is COMPUTERS!
Computers have a long history and are used for almost everything, like e-mail, school projects, reports, essays, PowerPoint presentations, games, movies, editing films, graphic productions, etc.
In the year 1642, French mathematician, scientist and philosopher Blaise Pascal invented the first true calculating machine. It worked with gears, and it only performed addition and subtraction. When you turned the one's place gear 10 times it would turn the 10's place one time and so on.
The first ever real computer was made in 1822 by Charles Babbage. It used the decimal system and was powered by a handle that you had to crank.
