Introduction

          Singapore is a very culturally diverse and relatively rich country in Asia. For its size, Singapore is not only very successful where its economy is concerned, but has also preserved its tradition and cultures very well. Though it has a short history as to when Singapore was founded as an independent state, it is nonetheless very rich in culture, tying in many different cultures from which was brought from the many people who migrated to Singapore to start a new life.

          Within less then 50 years, Singapore moved from a British colony to an independent nation sustaining itself through its extensive trade and many other sectors. It provides its citizens with many privileges and excellent services, especially in the area of education, employment and housing. It strives as much as possible to provide living conditions suitable for all, providing for the rich and poor. In the following sections, more on Singapore's education system and social lifestyle will be elaborated and explained.
