The Differences

Photos - Hue, Vietnam

This is the methodology of our project. The following paragraphs will explain how we obtained the information that is found on our website. Basically, we made use of several methods in order to obtain the information that we have as of now.

Firstly, the students from Singapore made extensive use of personal observations in the field, in other words, when they were in the countries themselves. Basically, because our entire group has spent much time in the countries, two weeks in Wuhan and Hue each, and having lived in Singapore for our entire lives, we were able to just use these personal observations as a first-hand source of information.

Secondly, we made use of interviews to clarify and confirm our ideas that we got from our personal observations. We carried out interviews for both Wuhan and Hue. For Wuhan, we interviewed a student who was a foreign scholar in our school, who came from Wuhan. For Hue, we interviewed a native student from Hue. She managed to provide valuable insight into some things that we did not know beforehand. Throughout our stay in the countries, we also asked many the natives many questions, although they were not official or documented. The information obtained from these short dialogue sessions, however, was just incorporated into our content.

Thirdly, we also managed to establish contact with our counterparts in Hue and Wuhan, who are part of this team. The students in Singapore contacted them and constantly referred back to them to confirm ideas and any information that we were unsure of.

Lastly, we also took many multimedia recordings of the important parts of the trip. One such multimedia recording was a video that we took at a lesson at the special school in Hue. We are using these multimedia recordings to allow readers to better understand what we mean to say.

Overall however, we would like to remind readers that all content found in this website is completely original. All forms of media, be it pictures, videos are all original.
