  1. Are you working to make your school greener?
    Yes, we have an ongoing program working towards the greenflag.
    We also take part in the EcoSchools award scheme.
  2. What are you doing / have you done?
    We are having an 'Eco - week' in which all departments will look at environmental issues in their subject.
    We recycle as much of our waste as is possible, including composting.
    Lights are turned off in the kitchens and classrooms, and water use is kept to a minimum.
    In gardening club students are encouraged to grow their own food.
  3. Do students support you in this mission?
    The student environment committee meets every month to discus green issues.
    There is a school travel plan to ease congestion that is supported by all.
  4. Is it something your school takes very seriously?
    Yes!
  5. Do you think you would benefit from external assistance in making your school greener?
    If so, in what?

    More organisation of the companies that recycle to involve schools.
    Opportunities to recycle textiles, clothes and shoes.
  6. Are green issues covered in time-tabled lessons or extra-curricular sessions (tutorials)?
    Eco - week is the main environment centred initiative.
    Timetable lessons in science and geography dealing with fossil fuels and plastics.
    In textiles, hats or bags are made out of rubbish.
