All classrooms have a recycling box for paper and cardboard.
We are looking to build a nature trail for the students as this is an area of scientific interest.
We source all of our food locally.
There is grass all around the site!
- Do students support you in this mission?
Yes, the prefects collect all the recycling bins at the end of the day.
School council have made posters asking people to turn lights off in infrequently used rooms.
Students are enthusiaistic about recycling.
There is a very low litter rate.
The staff are very supportive too!

Cost is a major issue for us as a charitable organisation.
However there are some very committed staff.

- Are green issues covered in timetabled lessons or extra-curricular sessions (tutorials)?
Geography covers improving the local environment.
PSHE and Citizendhip also cover eco issues.
Yr 4 do a large project on recyclingand sustainability looking at things like the carbon cost of the packaging for different items.
Yr 6 do global warming as a big topic for a term.
