« Back to What We DidThe school management have started to roll out a system of sending letters and notices home to parents via e-mail, instead of printing approximately 700 copies, with many not reaching the intended destination. Parents register their email address and the software automatically emails all those who have supplied one.
Gradually the paper-based letter will be removed, with it still available for those preferring paper or without a computer and internet connection at home.
We recently implemented free web-based software to enable the booking of ICT suites. This replaced the previous paper-based system. At the moment we are not saving paper as the current day's timetable is still printed out, but this may be not be the case at some point in the future.
If you have a school with numerous highly desirable rooms - ICT suites, languages auditoriums, lecture rooms, presentation theatres - why not consider a similar system - saving a piece of paper per room per day!
