How we Worked

About Us

CRGS Green Movement Team

Everyone in the team was involved in making CRGS greener, to a greater or lesser extent. Primarily, this fell to Edward and Jack, but the contributions of the rest of the team should not be overlooked. We all felt this was a strong part of the project, and thus assisted each other wherever we could.

Site Programmer: Edward

Edward
A Windows and Web Programmer, specialising in PHP and JavaScript. He was responsible for overseeing the site, coding JavaScript (including Green Tool) and implementing PHP templating while the site was being built. He was largely responsible for helping CRGS to become greener as part of this project.

Site Designers: John-Mark and Jack

John-Mark
The designer throughout this site, John-Mark spent a great deal of time perfecting and improving aesthetic presentation and your user experience. He worked closely with all the members of the team to give you the best result possible. He also designed other items to do with the Green Project at CRGS.

Jack
Along with assisting John-Mark occasionally in site design, Jack shared responsibility with John-Mark for the videos and photos on this site. He was responsible for minutes, interview transcripts, diagrams, and helping to convert the content into HTML. He also created the flash animations used in the site.

Content Researchers: Naomi and Oli

Naomi + Oli
Sharing the content between themselves, then proof reading the others' work, Naomi and Oli are responsible for all the information contained on the site. They liased closely with all team members to obtain graphics, photos, and everything else necessary for a thorough website. Oli is an aspiring medic, and Naomi is a scientist who enjoys modern foreign languages.

Site Translator: Fabien

Fabien
While the rest of the team lives in the UK, Fabien lives in Germany and translated the whole website into German. He was in constant communication over the internet with members of the team, providing German translations of all graphics created before translating the site.

Team Coaches: Dr. Stimson and Mr. Hill

Dr. Stimson
An Economics teacher at Colchester Royal Grammar School, as the primary coach, she has overseen the whole project.

Mr. Hill
Systems Manager at Colchester Royal Grammar School. As the secondary coach, he assisted with the technical aspects of the site, giving advice on design and implementation.
