We will start with some brief information related to minorities for the sake of a better understanding what a gypsy community for a society, no matter what country we are talking about. Such communities exist all over the world, starting from Canada, Japan, England or Romania. There is no place withouth the so-called „bastards of the area”. Romania has always had minorities. At the moment, there are several ones, classified by their number: Hungarians(7.13%), Gypsies(1.80%), Germans(0.52%), Ukrainians(0.29%), Serbians(0.14%), Turkish(0.13%), Bulgarians, Jews, Croatians, Poles, Greeks, Armenians(0.3%),etc. The Roma community has been declared as Europe’s most important community.

Regard how the Romanian Dictionary describes the word „minority”: the least numerous, the smallest number of beings or objects in a community. Nothing new, nor impressive. But, what happens if we look behind these ‚at the surface’ explanations? The answer is easy. We tried to concentrate everything on this website. We found out interesting facts that moved us along the way. With a thorough research and various "expeditions" in order to find out details, we managed to put down historical facts, traditions and real facts from their actual lives.
 

Inevitably, we meet them at every step. Sometimes we don’t give them much attention, other times, their different ways of living disturb us. Roma have proved to be an interesting issue to discuss about, considering their negative label in society. After analyzing, we found out that actually this is not the source of the problem.
