One appeal of using Biofuel as an alternative to petroleum gas is its comparatively lower carbon emission, mitigating the problem of air pollution due to excessive carbon emission from the burning of fossil fuels.

Biofuels aim to be carbon neutral or even carbon negative. A carbon neutral fuel is one that is able to balance or absorb the carbon it releases during usage through new plant growth, which is used for the next batch of fuel. Carbon neutral fuels can lead to a decrease in human contribution to atmospheric carbon levels, reducing human contribution to global warming.
