I am currently a student in Victoria Junior College, Singapore. I am one of the webdesigners for our project as well as the flash designer. Since 16, I have been regularly using dreamweaver to edit HTML and JavaScript to create my own online portfolio and various blog templates.
I have been actively teaching others. In my last year, a group of friends and I carried out a webdesign course to teach our fellow 16 years old juniors how to create their own online portfolio. In the previous year, I also helped out in carring out a basic computer course to a group of elderly people. I find much satisfaction in teaching others the skills I have learnt and to see them improve.
I have participated in ThinkQuest last year. Even though my previous team did not win anything, the thrill of working with others and improving my skills motivated me to try again this year. I helped to supervise our junior members on HTML coding and designing the layout of the webpages. Despite a few difficulties agreeing on the best design for our webpages, we finally decided on a simple, yet eye-catching concept.
