At a young age, Marwa had a great interest for fashion. Her father was an aircraft pilot who wished Marwa to follow in his footsteps and become a pilot herself. However her goal during that time was to become a fashion designer, and because of this she started to neglect her education in favour of fashion. This changed however when her cousin became an aircraft technical service engineer and inspired her to take her scientific and mathematical subjects more seriously. She then realized that it would be far wiser to focus her efforts on a practical job involving mathematics, than the capricious world of fashion industry.
