The aim of this website is to provide an insight into two towns called Waterloo. One town is based just outside Freetown in Sierra Leone the other outside Liverpool England.
Pupiils look at a project set up by a local MP Claire Curtis Thomas from Waterloo UK. Following the ravages of war and civil unrest in Sierra Leone, she set up a charity to help people of Waterloo Sierra Leone rebuild their lives and future. The partnership also aims at providing a greater insight into the global community we live in and our moral and social responsibilities to support our neighbours.
Our team has provided you with a comparison of the two towns showing how each contrasts the other. They have also looked closley at the links between the Partnership and how the two cultures working together have provided hope and a future.
It is hoped that from this insight you may also consider working with those less fortunate than you and by working together towards a common goal can triumph over adversity.
