Diets
There are many different kinds of weight loss diets. Some you need to attend meetings while others you just buy a book and follow the recipes and advice from the pages. Other diets you need to buy food in the supermarket and others you need to send away for. There are liquid diets and nutrition bars. There are diets that you can only eat one kind of food or you reduce the amount of protein, fat or carbs or eat high amounts of fat or protein. Most diets don't work because it's hard trying to eat just one kind of food. The healthiest way to diet is to eat a little of everything and cut out most sweets and high fat foods. Eating more fruits and vegetables is a good way to start eating better. Of course if you can add exercise to healthy eating you're on your way to a healthier life style. Did you know that nearly one-third of U.S. adults are overweight, and another third are obese? Last year, Americans spent about $46 billion on diet products and diet books. Unfortunately most dieters (two-thirds) put back on all the weight they lose within a year, and 97% have gained it all back within five years. Remember it can cost a lot of money to follow these diets; it's much cheaper to eat less and exercise more. What other kinds of industry would stay in business if most of its products didn't work?
